I recently started an on-line hurricane supply website. Its set up, we have several people that view the site, but no one buys anything. Is the format wrong, is it not catchy enough. Please give me your opinion about my site. Keep in mind that I have very little computer experience and don’t know all the lingo.

my uncle said there was one in brooklyn last night

Does anyone think that hannah by the time it get to my location in long island ny will be still capable of producing heavy rain, tornadoes and strong winds. And if soo when do u think a tornadoe watch will be issued, or a wind advisory or something like that.

also can someone direct me to a website that will answer questions

Now everyone here is celebrating since the the National Hurricane Center is saying "oh were so safe." I have tracked storms for a while and have seen such error in forecasts. Should we really be safe? What if it turns into the gulf then heads here? What if that low they been talking about isn’t as weak as expected?

Earthquakes in uncommon places (Illionis), the giant earthquake in China, the cyclone in Myanmar, flooding and tornadoes in the Midwest….is there a meterological explanation for this? Or is it the work of God trying to tell us something?

you read about all these homeless animals, like in big cities ect.
but do they survive alright as long as there’s food?
and somewhat of shelter?

I know of a story about a little boy who led a group of other little boys to safety during Hurricane Katrina. What is the source (news source, etc.) that this story came from?

I am doing LD debate and it would be great if I could get this data.

Why do I need to stock up on huge amounts of food/water/etc., for a storm if they end up telling us to evacuate? What would be the point if I end up leaving to have all this stuff, when I need the trunk space to squeeze priceless/personal valuables instead to take with me?

If massive ice blocks could be placed in the tracks of an approaching hurricane, could it possibly weaken the storm by depriving it of energy?

Hurricane Prepardness for Gulf Coast Homes

I am going to Belize on February 5th and all of the weather reports show that its going to rain for the next two weeks. However I have looked online and seen many blogs from people saying not to worry about the weather reports that far off and that they arent accurate. Have you had any experience with this? What was your experience??
Actually Verg… your wrong. I have been to the carribbean quite a few times but never to Belize. I have been checking the weather daily and it has changed everyday…. as well as a confirmation from the hotel staff that it is indeed raining there!! However things are looking up for next week so thats good news.

do you think it will be the worst hurricane season or what?tell me what you think?

I’m putting this in the motorcycle Racing section, coz you need to be a fan to understand it.

Tropical storms are given names throughout the year. The first of the year begins with "A" the second "B" and so on through the alphabet. So the twelfth name has to begin with "L". With me so far……?

Texas is an unfortunate state as far as weather is concerned. Ravished by Tornado’s in the north and Hurricanes in the south.

Now the name for the twelfth Hurricane of the year (a storm that could chase out the Tornado’s from Texas) is………Lorenzo!

Coincidence? Or does somebody at the "National Hurricane Centre" have a wry sense of Humor?

Incidentally, I got this little snippet from an excellent blog called "Kropotkin Thinks". If you haven’t already discovered this gem, then I thouroughly reccomend it to any Moto GP fan.

I was thinking about this a little while ago…..

See, I have several friends who I BECAME friends with because we shared a common interest in the Naruto Series.
But, as we tried to branch out our friendship, I realized that ALL we have in common is Naruto.
Seriously…

So, I was thinking about all the people on Yahoo!Answers who take my polls……or….make their own polls….or have a tendency to express their love of everything Naruto related.
And I was wondering how different all of US must be.

We come from different parts of the world.
Some of us speak different languages.
We dress differently.
Act differently.
Have different interests.

But surely, in a community of fans this big, we should be able to find SOME things we have in common, shouldn’t we?

So, I want to know about all you NaruFans out there.
What’s your name?
How old are you?
What do you like?
What don’t you like?
Where do you live?
How’s the weather there? :P
What are you good at.
You get the idea….

Let me start by introducing myself :]

My name is Isabelle Gadoury (Don’t ask….it’s French)
I am 16 years old and my birthday is March 11th. :3
I LOVE to cook and I’m actually pretty darn good.
I read….a lot. And my favourite thing in the entire world is music.
Some of my favourite bands include:
Jackson Waters, The Weepies, Band Of Horses, Careless, La Rocca, The Perishers, Built To Spill, West Indian Girl, Trespassers Williams, Radiohead, Queens of The Stoneage, The Foo Fighters….etc.
But truth betold, I listen to everything from Classical (Beethoven is love people!) to Death Metal.

I’m 25 days away from beginning my senior year at Polyvalente Grande-Riviere (Yes, it’s a french school…..I’m french, but fluently bilingual.) GO CYCLONES. =D

My favourite colours are Lime green and Neon orange, which is why I chose to paint my bedroom walls in those particular colours.

My eye colour varies from shade of blue, green and gray.
I have a brother who is 14 months older than I am.
And he’s the one who got me addicted to Naruto in the first place.

I could own all your asses at SuperSmash Bros.

I HATE softdrinks.

Give me a pina colada and I’ll love you for life.

I’m deadly afraid of spiders….Seriously. I see one, I run.
But I’m just fine with every other kind of creepy critter there is. :3

I have a cat named Sai.
(Haha…YES. I named him after the character)

I used to have three mice named Orochimaru, Tsunade and Jiraiya, but they all died in a tragic accident…..(Orochimaru killed the other two and then died a few weeks later….I know……….I shouldn’t laugh….but the circumstances were just too funny.)

My favourite movies are Dead Poets Society, A Clockwork Orange and The Austin Powers Series.

I have an insane fangirl-type crush on Jack Sparrow.
NOT Johnny Depp….JUST that particular character.

I suck at math (which is a derivation of the fact that I suck at life, in general) but I balance it out by being easily one of the most gifted in english and french in my grade. (Not to brag or anything…hehehe)

My parents are divorced and I haven’t see my dad in over two years.
I despise my step-father more than I have ever despised another human being….ever.
But my mom and I get along ok…..most of the time.

I think monkeys are wicked cool.

Winter makes me want to blow my brains out…
Someone with as little coordination as I have should not be aloud to freely walk on icy surfaces.
Seriously…I’m a menace.

Here I am. =D
lol

Fairly old picture…..(last november) sorry. :P

Well…wasn’t that just a whole bunch of boring? :P

Anyways, now that I’m done MY rambling….tell me about yourselves Naruto fans. :3
I want to get to know some of you!. :]
Cause you all seem pretty hardcore. o_O

I need to plant a tree that will block the afternoon sun from my house and lanai, yet is fast growing and safe for hurricane areas. I asked this question earlier, but the answers were not for good shade trees. I appreciate any help…

Since we are more vulnerable to gas spikes, I am concerned that it will affect supplies.

I got gas for .59 a gallon today and I like it that way.

I looked this question up and everyone answered similar questions with "natural disasters happen all over the world." I understand that and simply want to know a little bit about what it is like to live in a places that gets frequent tornadoes.

I just got done watching the movie Twister and I can’t imagine myself living in tornado prone areas. I have lived in NJ, CA and HI (NJ pretty much my whole life and absolutely nothing happens there but minor weather conditions the four seasons brings with it) and have seen thunder and lighting at the worst but nothing more. I have never experienced any natural disaster and was wondering what it was like to live where tornadoes hit. I can’t imagine having to rebuild your house every time one comes along, that is what you do if you get tornadoes often right? Does it get expensive?

I know you can’t get away from bad things happening but tornadoes occur all of the time in the middle of the US and I was curious why you would want to live in fear. Also photo albums and all your important stuff, what do you do with all of it? Do you keep all important documents in storage? How often do they hit where you are from? I am just curious to know if its fearful seeing a tornado in your path. Thanks =)

TornadoVideos.net storm chasers Reed Timmer and Dave Holder captured this huge, violent wedge tornado in southwest Manitoba on June 23, 2007. We were blasted by mud and flying corn stalks as the tornado crossed the road less than 200 yards away! Check out TornadoVideos.net for more insane tornado video.
