Why is this happening? I thought we never had tornados in toronto… who else was freaked out as hell?

I heard there is going to be another tornado coming today or supposedly yesterday, and there was this photo of a mini tornado people saw at markville on saturday (yesterday).

any thoughts? is this tornado thing going to be a regular, normal thing that will happen all the time as it does in america? hope not

We live paycheck to paycheck. Made the mistake of moving to Florida. We got here a year before all the hurricanes started coming (we’ve been hit by 4 directly). Now housing is through the roof and even if we could get a place (we rent right now) the insurance co’s are running like rats on a sinking ship and the ones that are staying are raising their rates 50 - 99% (no joke). We want to move to Colorado but have no extra money. There’s really no expenses to cut to save, except to stop eatting. Last year we lost 00 because of lost food, ice, batteries and other emergency supplies thanks to the hurricanes. It’s like a trap, we can’t afford to live here and can’t afford to get out! Open to suggestions. Thanks.

I just heard about the child killed by the hurricane in spite of barriers prohibiting people from viewing from the area where her family was. If a child drowns in a bathtub after being left alone, the parent is prosecuted for neglect. I think this action is much more egregious. What do you think?

We are replacing windows damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The replacement windows that we like are Simonton Prism Platinum. The literature says the installation method is "hook-a-bou." I don’t know what that is.

I have a neighbor that leaves his toy poodle outside without any shelter from cold and rain. He states that it is an animal and belongs out in any weather without shelter. I did at one time take the dog out of the rain and cold. The dog was cold, wet, dirty, shivering, and scared out of it’s mind. The neighbor stated that if I did that again he would call the sheriff(I did enter his property to rescue the dog). I feel that I should have called Animal Control. It is now over 100 and the dog has only a shade tree to keep it out of the heat. There are some serious medical concerns with the wife of the neighbor that I don’t want to aggrivate, but I feel the dog issue needs to be dealt with. Others say not to get involved but I feel that someone needs to pound some sense into that man. What suggestions do you have in this matter?

Is it lower demand because of the seasons? Is it because of no hurricanes that affected the supply chain to cause a surplus of petroleum.

my house was accross the interstate. my nighborhood was lucky to have a leaf fall better yet a house exsplode.

Everybody could help. A "positive heroism" ethic might replace militarism and gang ethics. The education and engineering corps of the this army could quickly set up schools..
