With several tropical storms out there in the Atlantic, I am concerned that the property manager wants to charge me a pretty high price for putting up these shutters. Am I responsible for doing it? I thought I could just take my pet and leave. I am willing, however, to be shown how or even have help putting them up, but I cannot pay him for it.

There is nothing in my lease concerning this. I thought I could contact the property manager, advise I was leaving for the duration of the hurricane (of course, with a couple of days advance for him to put up shutters), with no intention of leaving permanently. As for "brain power", I’ve got plenty - or I wouldn’t have owned the homes I did. I’m just up against Florida property managers/renters now, which are out of my league or I wouldn’t be wasting my time here. Anyway, I suppose I can just tape the windows then??

there is this low out in the ocean or as they are saying invest 97. its in warm water and heading to warmer waters. not very orginized but has lots of storms with it. it is a messy invest. do you think this will turn into a td or ts or huricane. i think if storms stay eith the invest as it moves toward the warmer waters it will need to ne watched. i think it may atleast turn into a td. what does it have to get to to be a td whst wind and ect. will they be flying into invest 97 at any time. when is the next update on invest 97? how offten do they do updates on invests?

If the federal government provides 0 million in disaster relief to the people of Louisiana after a hurricane, then 80% of that money is spent in Louisiana. If the money is repent over and over at a rate of 80% in Louisiana, then what is the total economic impact of the 0 million on the state?

I love it because of the estimated 40,000 people who have refused to evacuate despite all the pre-warnings of possible injury and death in the Galveston area. Some of these people were even laughing on television saying it wasn’t a big deal, was over-hyped, they’ll be fine, etc. LOL of course it’s "over hyped" that’s what it means by taking precautions for your safety and evacuating, hence even if not much happens you’ll still be ok. I love it. when they all die it’ll be like watching Darwinism in action.

Also, do you need the eye on the center for the hurricane to weaken?

disaster like a flood or tornado? A bunch of my friends and I were discussing high school and our year books and one friend said everything from her childhood was lost in a house fire. I felt bad for her. All her photos and things that meant so much to her. She is the second person I’ve met whose home were destroyed.

How about close calls too?

These are product from,"Storm Busters."
These hurricane panels are a very hard plastic( their are more fansey words that are used, but not me, sorry). They come in clear and white.

The wind is the lack of air movement not the movement of it. There should always be a slight breeze, as the atmosphere follows a spinning earth, but it tilts different angles, along its eliptical orbit, the mountains/buildings push and the temperature of the ocean, causing warm rising swirls that become hurricanes/tornadoes… it seems an intellegent species on this same senario of planet, would have solar powered refrigeration units off the Carribean, so those swirls, would not even happen in the first place. Also a computer simulation of our "topgraphy’s influenence" according to different angles/times.Refined correlation of data would advance predictability. Structures then placed at certain locations to smooth/cancel negative functioning results. Earth perpetually in a pleasant state, as we evolve into a "Team Human" populate the universe, logical best possibility chance for realization of existence experience as human, since we are recycled back into it, lets all stop the stupid.
we were able to plan and fix the Hubble telescope in space, yet seemingly logical and simple solutions completely escape us. In AZ there are thunderhead clouds overhead on the way to spill on a flooding Texas, yet if there was a bulliten telling everyone in Arizona (so dry in winter, a dust storm yet humid) to turn on their sprinkler systems, the added humidity would rise up and spill those clouds where its needed instead of the sit on hands and let mother nature push you around. For one thing mother nature is a myth, "Blisskeeper" expects us to use our brains and solve problems together, because this creates "wonderment" and that is what "Blisskeeper" breaths, his oxygen. the cycles of life and quintesynthesis determination, each half of its heartbeat. as for what I am doing to help, well for one I’ve never done anything bad to anyone, making me by the logic of math everyones best friend. I do not drive and when I did or if in future a motorcycle or small car, also solarhome planned.

Besides weather.com, accuweather.com. weather underground.
Thanks, cyswxman. I haven’t been to impressed with noaa’s accuracy over the past 6 or 7 years. I find accuweather to have a higher rate of accuracy from the beginning of their forecast plots–i.e., their initial forecast path is usually fairly accurate. (No I don’t work for or own stock in accuweather!) Any other sugestions? I’m just looking for sites to compare modeling. Thanks!

doing a project on campus smoking and i am looking for a bus shelter type of building away from people where smokers can smoke and be out of the weather from people..i would appreciate it

How can I get the state of Florida to assist me a home owners with the purchase of hurricane windows, could you supply me with any info.

I live in Texas -Coastal Bend area. Not sure whether to get lexan (clear) hurricane shutters-about 00, or high impact windows-about 00. Both are over my budget, but after going through 2004 in Florida, don’t want to take chances with a hurricane. Also, need to find someone who sells and installs both of these items. Please help if you can. Thanx.

The low profile hopper for the cyclone feed system looks really cool, but I don’t want the cyclone feed system. I never even want to fire fully auto or fast or anything like that, I just want a hopper like that. Here’s a picture of it. http://www.thepaintballblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/hopper.jpg Is there a hopper for the tippmann 98 custom like that, but gravity powered? Because I don’t want to add new systems and all that stuff. I just want a regular gravity hopper that looks like that. Any Ideas?

All the global-warming goons like to show us how "smart" they are by blaming all the thunderstorm, tornadoes, and hurricanes on global warming. They like to forget that it is SUMMERTIME here in the northern hemishere, and this is when such activities as thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes are at their PEAK!

Is there global warming? Well, that depends on your definition of global warming. Do you consider a rise of half a degree celcius a manifestation of global warming or a minor oversight of the thermometers the scientists used?

Better yet, could the SUN be the cause for global warming? These goons like to think that everything is static from their limited perspective, and that the sun has no cyclic activity.

"Sun spots? Those don’t mean anything," is what they will tell you. However, there are data that illustrate otherwise.

there is no wood to nail a plywood cover into. these weekly threats of storms is getting to me.

thanks

There is a major hurricane headed for your area. It is entirely likely that you could be without water for a week or more. You may be able to get a few gallons of water from relife supplies after the hurricane, but these would be for drinking water. The supplies may not arrived for many hours. Take into account your family’s daily water usage as determined in this activitie:
