I am a Firefighter/EMT not currently associated with a department.
Where can I find information about using my skills to help those in need?
These answers, while well meaning, really don’t answer the question.

hurricanes are named, but how do weathermen and the men tracking them know the difference between each differnet hurricane???
i always wondered that.

Up until 3 years ago, fuel prices were never affected by the weather. This has to be a result of oil speculation instead of supply and demand as it used to be.

I have never made a claim before so I need a little help.

So far I have already received an insurance check (not deposited) for my roof, fence, and some food.

I was told I could claim the removal of my tree, maybe part of my generator costs, and definitely the cost of the gas to keep it going for nearly two weeks.

Is there anything I might be missing?

ok i live in jacksonville fl and fay is supposed to be hitting us overnight/tomorrow and i keep watching the weather channel and i don’tt mind thunder, lighting, rain, poweroutagess but i keep see reports about tornadoes and the damage the storm has cause and they say they fay is gonna head off shore and it might strengthen and hit our area next. (lucky us.)i know that tornadoes come in many different forms like rain wraps, water spouts, etct ect. ive been amazingly terrified of tornadoes ever since i heard that they can kill people. as of right now the sky is already dark and its only 6 o clock. if there is a tornado in my area then what kind should it be depending on the storm? and would it hit my house since i live on the west side(i kind of live near flat land)?I’m sooooo terrified i dont want to die i dont want to lose my house im just starting out my high school year and i dont wanna lose my high school oppurtunities??? and if a tornado is heading my way how should i prepare???? and how do i calm my nerveesss????? im sooo terried!

I would like to know what the weather will be like in Eastern Europe in June and July

and turns your home into sawdust ?

I made a blog at www.myturkishsoccer.blogspot.com, and I applied for the google adsense, and than I got an account there. When I put adsense, it only shows one of the ad’s, I tried 2 or 3 and they were blank, and it was not relative to my site. It was about a hurricane fundraiser thing or something. I thought it would be something about my site. So how can I put appropriate ads to my site, and add more. Do I have to do something through my adsense account, like tell them what to do? Thanks in Advance!
Thanks soulbleed for the clear up on the confusion with the first answer. I was like "What!?!?"
Ye, I did make my blog today, and put google ads. But do you mean I should add soccer and football in the title, or just more of those words in my blog? Because I thought I could get some soccer ads for like equipment and stuff. But I was wondering if google sets my ads automatically or do I tell it to put soccer stuff, etc? Hopefully I will add more stuff to the site, and spread the word across my friends.

I’m not Pygmalion
Hooked by failure
Ruled as a juvenile
Aged as an infantile
Subject to the ladder

Ruined by affection
Excepted by exception
Predicted on a graph
Cornered by ritual
Diminished by impression
Cried out to the lesson
Subject to the ladder
Subject to the ladder

My thoughts are coming through
Emptiness follows too
A cyclone full on feeling
The silence of the room

Defended by defendants
Corrected by the pain
Inspected by a sadness
Exhausted by a game
Subject to the ladder
Subject to the ladder

My thoughts are coming through
Emptiness follows too
A cyclone full of feeling
The silence of the room

A picture turning over
Jewel in the water
Where Echo saw reflection
Not what it taught her
Invaded by the quarrels
And I denied the lathe
Let me chop down the laurel
A goal I won’t escape
In bullied by deception
But when the whistle came
Esteem had broke infection
My torment fought with shame
Subject to the ladder
Subject to the ladder

My thoughts are coming through
Emptiness follows too
A cyclone full of feeling
The silence of the room
Subject to the ladder
The name of the song is "Subject to the Ladder" and it is by Broadcast.

I relocated to Atlanta after Hurricane Katrina. I have been trying to find a job for 4 months now with no luck. I will take anything I have 8 years of Data Entry/Clerical exp. I have a son, and am also taking care of 2 of my cousins kids (my cousin drowned in the hurricane). I need a job NOW we are facing homelessness.

or anything for shelter? And just let there dog bark all day long. The dog does have long hair but still it needs to have an option of a dog house especially if its raining a lot.

During the previous seven years, America has been hit hard by 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Virginia, etc. Knowing about all the ways you can end up in the hospital, or even dead, what would fulfill the requirements for a living creature to be "safe"? Is complete "saftey" even possible?
