This is just a question out of curiosity since its already hurricane season and because im watching the weather channel. So i just came to notice that every time they announce something serious like the possibility of a tropical storm or a hurricane to form, i always see that its displayed in the Atlantic heading for the coastlines of North America or the islands near the Gulf of Mexico. Is this completely true? Or can they really appear in the Pacific Ocean that head to places like Asia or Australia?
Ok. It’s like this.
You can’t predict if Ichiro is going to get a hit on a certain pitch, but having looked at his stats over a period of seasons, you can predict that he’s going to hit over .320 for the season, and probably over .330 for his career. Sure, he’ll have some bad days and seasons, but you can predict the overall trend based on previous data spanning the seasons. He’s a good hitter even if he struck out 4 times last night. The trend is established by the historical data. And not by what happened in the past few games.
So could you denial freaks please stop expecting scientists to predict "each" hurricane, each day, each month?
Hope the digressive sports reference will help you further understand trends, statistics, and data as they relate to global warming.
You should have learned all of this by the 8th grade anyway.
This is the example

I have aluminum hurricane shutters that we recently replaced with accordion shutters, and I was thinking of selling them as scrap metal. Im not sure of the weight, though its probably between 3000 and 4000 pounds. Whatever it is, Im just interested in how much per pound I could get for scrap metal on this stuff?

There are post here about sparing animals lives who have killed humans. Is there someone out there that values animals lives higher or even, equal to humans? Yes they are kept confined in zoos not only to protect people from them but to protect them from people as well, they are fed regularly, given health care by licensed veterinarians,. sheltered in bad weather. I cannot see for the life of me why zoos are such bad institutions. Does anyone care to comment?
This part 1 of my live footage of Hurricane Charley which struck the southwest Florida peninsula on Friday, August 13, 2004. Charley came in and the National Hurricane Center in Miami forecasted the storm to move north and make landfall in the Tampa Bay area. However, as with other hurricanes, they seem to have a mind of their own and Charley was no exception. Charley made a turn and was moving toward Sanibel Island near Fort Myers and then veered away at the last minute, but still caused …

I need to test to see whether there has been a change in the frequency of hurricanes between 1960-1990 and 1991 - 2008. I have been given a single data set divided into the two groupings and have been given figures for the number of hurricanes per year. What test to I use to check if there has been a change in frequency??
I basically live on the bayous of Louisiana and unfortunately we are in the line of fire of Tropical Storm Gustav. I notice that they update at different times but I can’t seem to catch on to what these times are. Is it every 2 hours? I know they repeat the info throughout the hour but I am wondering about the new long / lat, mb, speed…things like that. New updates.
I got bored during the storm, so i took some footage of just how bad the storm was in Melbourne, FL.
Just three weeks until Hurricane Season begins. Do you think this season will be really bad or not bad at all?
I live in Louisiana, and we haven’t got hit since Katrina. So it makes me wonder if we’ll get hit again this year. I wouldn’t be suprised with all this crazy weather lately.
I’ve checked the hurricane season is Jun-Nov , any chance it’s happening during Christmas? ( Miami) thanks
