I am planning a trip in november to the florida area and wondered when hurricane season is…trying to plan ahead…Anyone know I can’t find a month range on it?
I was thinking Nov 6-11 in Cocoa Beach or Key Largo but now I am thinking later

My history teacher once said that gas companies have paid researchers to stop doing research on alternate fuels, in order to keep their market.

Gas companies have done other shady things, like raising the gas price after hurricane Katrina, even though the supply didn’t suffer. Why would they do that? Is it legal? This will all be affecting me in 2 years when I graduate and go to college, where I will need to pay for gas.

I had a dream that my dad was driving a car. We were in the country side and then it got dark (mainly red) then there was a tornado. So my dad took photos of it. It started to come near us so we ran! We ran through an ally-way when we saw a old house, we ran in then I looked at a photo it was an old photo of an old man! we ran up the stairs (still a red colour) there was about 50 steps!

Just to let you know that I have been voted by my friends to have the most weirdest dreams ever! I have even written my most weirdest dreams (23 dreams in the last year) inside a powerpoint presentation!

HI! my name is ruby, i am 16 and my mom says that i have been suffering from PTS Post Traumatic Stress. But i’ve been fighting with it for 5 really really long years! i went through katrina, and it was hell for me, but i got through it some what, and then last year gustav hit. and that brought it all back and since then it has been a every day fight with it! hurricane season is one month away!
i’ve been going crazy trying to find a way to make it easier on me but nothing is working!
-i’ve kept a blog *privet so it’s more like a journal* just so i could keep track of my thoughts on this, and try to stay semi normal.
-i’ve got alot of pets and i’ve been dealing with them alot! you know as an anit-pts thing. it’s not really working because when i deal with them it’s more like "I do not have a record of you yet… lets go make one!" i’ve made records of my pets that way if any of them get’s lost i have all of there information with me at all times.

i know what has caused it. or at least i am pretty sure of it.
when we do go, we stay at my uncles house. it’s hell. my life is sorda insane, i go to sleep at 3AM and wake up at 11PM
do school, train my budgie, clean cages, break and write in journal, and work wth pets more. out there it’s nothing litke that it’s go to bed at 10PM and wake up at 5AM, eat 4 times a day, and they do not watch TV nor do they allow us to so i do not know what is going on, they don’t have internet, and the nearest place that does is 3 hours away! and radios don’t get great signals out there. i have to stay in the house because i am allergic to the bugs they have they also make my pets stay outside, so i don’t get to play with them. it’s just hell but that’s all mom goes to.

i’ve been in panic mode for the past 3 months, i do not know what to do!

i have gone to mom and she tells me that it’s my fault because i focus on it to much but i do not! i try my hardest to get away from it but sometimes the TV will air something about it and i’ll sorda freak out.

i want help from a therapist or something but mom won’t let me, and everytime i try to talk to my doctor about it she tells me to be quiet….

I am in melbourne, florida and have been here for 8 years…why do people freak out when they hear hurricane? The news makes it seems so much worse than it is going to be, thats why i stay away from watching it. i love tom sorrellis(the metrogoliest on channel 6) he is in fact accurate and not out to freak anyone out. it was downgraded yesterday to a tropical storm that we will be getting sometime wednesday. do you think they will cancel school for my 3rd grade daughter tomorrow?
how do i find out if it is indeed cancelled? they already are letting out 3 schools early today for shelters which i think is ridiciolus

Okay, they’ve had a complete disaster…like 20+ thousand people have apparently died, and they are missing about 40,000 to 50,000 people. Nations of the world are trying to send food and supplies to those in Myanmar who need it. But their stupid government isn’t allowing "foreigners" into the country. From what I have read in the news, the government is exchanging good food coming in (what little gets in, that is) with poor food…and shipping the poor food to the people involved in the disaster. Apparently the military is keeping the good food. What is wrong with this picture, and why is this Yangon/Myanmar government being so stupid about refusing help? It seems to be a rather poor place without the cyclone/hurricane that hit. Even more so now that it has hit…and it seems that some of the political leaders are trying to ‘label’ food cartons with their name, to try to make a big name for themselves and look like the hero.

Deers, birds,rabbits, etc. etc.

I currently rent a home, when hurricane Fay was coming to Fort Myers i called my landlord & ask for the shutters, they say i was responsible that they don’t provide them. Is that legal i mean i only RENT not OWN. Please Help?
