Hi Kristen,
Geez, that's a tough situation you're in!
Well Colorado is a good choice, as the cost of living is probably better there. (I guess you've got job prospects there?)
With the exception of your car & p.c...
Sell all of your things, your furniture, TV, stereo equipment, kitchen appliances, toys, books, Cd's, and most of your clothes. (Give away whatever you can't sell)
Here's why...
1) You can live just fine on a mattress and sit on the empty floor of your apt. for a while.
2) You won't have to pack and move your household when you leave. Whatever you take will have to fit in the car. No moving vans necessary.
3) You should be able to get some cash for your things, and that can go toward your move and "set-up" when you get to where your going.
4) Psychologically, your putting one foot out the door once you've gotten rid of your connection to your possessions.
NOW, you've got to make contact with as many people as you can in the city that you're planning to move to and arrange a job and a place to live. You can do this online. I recommend to check craigslist. And it helps to contact a good realtor too. *e-mail me if you need a reliable referral for this, as that is my business too. (that's y u keep the pc.) Set a date for yourself that you're absolutley going to be in that new city and stick to it. And then GO! (that's why you keep the car.)
Good Luck, stay positive, you can do it!
by the way...will u pleez pick this answer as the best one. U R sweet if u do! thin-Q vry mch!
