Isobars are what measure the pressure gradient as a rule of thumb isobars run parallel to the wind. so they must also be south.

In order to determine the location/direction of the low you use guy ballots law: &#34;if you stand with the wind to your back the center of the low will be to your left&#34; Lows also mostly travel easterly so either north east or south east.</description>
