Being a storm chaser has always called my attention… it would be great also to know a storm chaser’s opinion.

I was in such a mess and told him he could do better than me as I was a nothing and a nobody (I was very depressed) After 5 weeks I found another job but found out he had secretely asked another girl out. He said he was so sorry,it was becuase I said he could do better. We stayed together, I said we need to move this relationship up as engaged now for 4 years and still no
improvement on living together. I decided to get out from the pressure of my parents and buy my own home. He agreed and helped me with the deposit saying we would have our own place (even though he already lives alone) so he could live with me. During this his pal, became ill with Cancer - he dealt with this by cutting himself off from me saying he was going through a terrible time and his job was possibly being cut too. I said should we have a break so he could deal with the situation, he said he couldnt handle any external pressure namely me as I was asking him when I coud stay the night (getting angry in the process as he didnt undertsand why I felt used for sex) After two months of not seeing him properly, I asked him what was going on and he said everytime he saw me he gets stressed out. A rare fire tornado has been seen in the Brazilian state of Sao Paolo. A whirlwind of flame, spiralling several metres high, danced across burning fields, bringing traffic to a halt on a nearby highway. This unusual phenomenon has been caused by a combination of wildfires and strong dry winds following weeks of drought in the country. On Monday, BNVN Weather Paparazzi Eric Treece was chasing one of the several tornadoes that formed in eastern Colorado along Highway 71 south of Brush, CO. In the footage, Eric is standing underneath a rope tornado that is less than a quarter mile away from him on the ground and rises up and extends over him as it goes up to the cloud base. The video pans back to the ground and back up to the cloud base to show how large and how long the tornado actual is. As you watch this footage, note that the tornado from the clouds does extend to the ground but there is rotation on the ground. That makes it the fourth EF4 tornado in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota this season, according to meteorologist Greg Gust, based in Grand Forks.

A powerful tornado has been caught on camera moving through the US state of Minnesota and destroying a house on its way. The twister touched down in Wilkin County, near the North Dakota state border. The footage, captured by a storm chaser ( www.youtube.com ) shows the tornado crossing a road, then hitting a farmhouse and scattering debris. It could not be immediately verified if there were people inside the house. No injuries have been reported.

This is raw video from David Reimer shot just south of downtown Oklahoma City on the now infamous May 10, 2010. Sirens were activated just after 4:45 PM CDT when the supercell that would go on to produce several strong tornadoes, including the Moore EF4, first became tornado warned just southwest of the city. This was a High Risk day from the Storm Prediction Center and the local media had been hyping up this event for the past week, still there were some people that did not take the warning seriously, as you can see in the video. This was about ten minutes before we moved northeast to get out of the way of the softball sized hail inbound and to get in the path of the cell out east of the metro. Be sure to check out Connor’s excellent tornado video from the red river that was taken about 90 minutes later. This video is not for rebroadcast, but a clean version of the video is available for media licensing.

My town was recently hit by a tornado that left lots of homes destroyed and damaged, businesses gone, people just out of place. It looks in some areas like a bomb went off here. If you’d like to verify, you can Google "Albertville, AL Tornado" to get more information, photos, stories. I’d like to start a fundraiser for the people of my town but I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions/people willing to donate? All help is welcomed!

Residents and business owners in Bridgeport are dealing with a massive cleanup effort after a tornado ripped through the city on Thursday.

Emergency Evacuation plans for PETS are often over looked, some are not aware that local emergency shelters do NOT allow pets durring a hurrican, tornados, earthquakes.
Whether you live on a coastline with hurricane threats, an area that have only occasional tornadors or several tornados to the earth quake zones..Do you have an emergency plan and how detailed is the plan and who else is aware that you have the plan in place for the family pets from mice, cats, dogs, horses…etc
Here are a few links in case no one has any plan and i encourage all to create that plan. For those that have a plan please list the type of plan for the pets and what emergencies are near your areas.
Remember if you are sending them to a kennel that the facility is far enough away from the danger zone. also that they are well labeled even better than tags in this situation is the micro chip.

Contact your veterinarian or local humane society for information on preparing your pets for an emergency. •Make sure that your pets are current on their vaccinations. Pet shelters may require proof of vaccines.
•Have a current photograph
•Keep a collar with identification on your pet and have a leash on hand to control your pet.
•Have a properly-sized pet carrier for each animal - carriers should be large enough for the animal to stand and turn around.
•Plan your evacuation strategy and don’t forget your pet! Specialized pet shelters, animal control shelters, veterinary clinics and friends and relatives out of harm’s way are ALL potential refuges for your pet during a disaster.

DURING THE DISASTER

•Animals brought to a pet shelter are required to have: Proper identification collar and rabies tag, proper identification on all belongings, a carrier or cage, a leash, an ample supply of food, water and food bowls, any necessary medications, specific care instructions and news papers or trash bags for clean-up.
•Bring pets indoor well in advance of a storm - reassure them and remain calm.
•Pet shelters will be filled on first come, first served basis. Call ahead and determine availability.
In planning for the hurricane season, do not forget your pets. If an evacuation is necessary, the Humane Society of the United States urges pet owners to make arrangements to evacuate their animals as well. Official shelters do not allow pets. In the event of evacuation, make alternative arrangements for pets, such as with family friends, veterinarians, or kennels in safe locations.
The following are suggested preparedness procedures for pets, prior to an evacuation:
•Be prepared to take your pets with you. Companion animals depend on us for their survival, much as children do. It could be days or possibly weeks before you are able to return home possibly causing the death of your pet by starvation or dehydration.
•Identify your pet. Securely fasten a current identification tag to your pet’s collar. If you face evacuation, it is a good idea to attach to the collar the phone number of a friend or family member who is well out of disaster range. That way, anyone who finds your pet will be able to reach a person who knows how to contact you.
•Be sure your pet’s rabies and other vaccinations are current. Boarding kennels will require proof of these vaccinations before accepting your pet.
•Photograph your pet. Carry a photo of your pet for identification purposes.
•Transport your pet safely. Use secure pet carriers and keep your pet on a leash or in a harness.
•Find a pet-friendly hotel. Because most emergency shelters do not admit pets, call hotels in a safe location and ask if you can bring your pet. If the hotel has a no-pets policy, ask the manager if the hotel can waive the policy during the disaster.
•Foster your pet. If you and your pet cannot stay together, call friends, family members, veterinarians, or boarding kennels in a safe area to arrange safe foster care.
•Have supplies on hand. Be sure to pack a week’s worth of food, water, medication, cat litter, or any other supplies your pet needs on a regular basis.
•Plan your evacuation and leave in plenty of time. Do not wait until the last minute to evacuate. When rescue officials come to your door, they may not allow you to take your pets with you.
•Remember emergency responders are trained and required to save human lives, not animals. They may be taking physical and legal risks if they stop to help your animals.
•Carry a list of emergency telephone numbers with you. This should include your veterinarian, local animal control, local animal shelters, the Red Cross, and any other individual or group you might need to contact during the disaster.
