It is not possible for FEMA to 'protect' anyone. They can only respond after the danger has passed and that may take a considerable amount of time. Stockpile your own food, water and ammunition. Be prepared to feed and defend yourself. Also stockpile fuel for heat and to make fire. I would not depend on FEMA.
