F5 Tornado in Elie, MB Devastates Part of Town & F3 Tornado in Oakville, MB
Here is a video of Canada’s first F5 Tornado (upgraded from F4) taken from one mile away that devastated the western part of Elie, Manitoba on Friday June 22nd, 2007…the video ends with a second tornado (F3 Rated) near Oakville. There was just 6 confirmed tornadoes on Aug. 20th/09. Yup thats right only five days ago in the Toronto area!!! Its really scary I live in Brantford (ON) and thats like a 45 min. drive to Toronto…. Haven’t been in a tornado yet but I can guarantee next year we will have one for sure!!!

Easy there, tktomo01. Tornados are not rated by appearance. They are rated by damage caused. There’s no way you can assess what it is by the size of the funnel.

Comparing it to other videos I’d say it probably reaches F5 sometime between 6:00 and 6:35
Though that moment might not be included in this video as another video depicts the tornado throwing a house.

The rotation at the time isn’t as intense though. And it in fact was narrower at 6:00 with more intense rotation. It’s not uncommon for tornadoes to intensify as they narrow. I say sometime around that point because that was what it looked like when it threw a house. F5 damage
You will. A tornado hit maryland and I was like wow! Then I saw a dead baby who had been cut in half by debries. It was not fun
Ah. The winds must be pretty damn strong inside that thing to have caused an F5 worthy amount of damage, or at least lasted a VERY long time, which it didn’t. I’m probably wrong though, I still have that 20 mile wide F5 tornado image from Twister in my head.
