Have any of you in Miami filed for the “My Safe Florida Home” discounts.?
Since hurricane season is right around the corner, I was thinking of doing some exterior updates to my house…storm shutters and whatnot. I was just curious if any of you have applied for the discounts they give with the “MY Safe Florida Home” program. A friend of mine told me today, that they denied her because her home was worth too much, and that the process was arduous.
Was it an easy process?
Would you say the process is worth the discount?

THe process is real easy,the inspector comes to your house checks out your house for wind and then puts in a report and a month later you get a letter from MSFH telling you if you are eligible for the program and how much you have to put in and they match it.
Nothing to it.’
I live in Sarasota county and went with their program instead.
I havent hear about that. Yet.
