How would I go about finding out if a loved one in the Florida Lady Lakes tornado is alright?
My grandmother lives in the Lady lakes area, and that is a long distance call from where I live. When we try to call, it says that it cannot connect us because of an emergancy in the area, or that all lines are busy. I am very worried, and have looked through the Yahoo! Photo Albums of the tragedy. I live where I cannot access her by travel. How can I find out if she is okay?

The Red Cross may already have preliminary lists. Call your local office and ask them to help. Do not call Florida officials of the Florida Red Cross directly ,as they are simply too busy just now helping people to answer these calls directly.
You can call the local hospital and check patient names. If worse comes to worse,(and not that im a morbid person) you can also check the obituaries to see if their still alive.
