Hurricane Dean, Am i crazy?
Do you think that its weird that i want hurricane Dean to hit miami? My reasons are that hopefully it will delay the start of school. And it gives people an opportunity to repair aging homes and buildings. I also like preparing for the hurricane by going out and buying supplies I know that houses in miami wont fall apart because most are up to code and we dont do that plywood stuff that is done upstate we build with concrete and cement……do any of you "yahoo answer’s" get excitment out of hurricanes..?
Hurricane andrew destroyed whatever falling apart homes and poorly built houses…the last hurricane New orleans got was 50 years earlier…no offense but here miami alot of people take precautions and there are shelters in every corner…in even hurricane andrew there was not many fatalities..

I’m a weather fanatic and Hurricanes & Tornadoes excite my but don’t get your hopes up it’s not going to hit Miami it’s going to hit the Yucatan Peninsula and then into the Mexico-Texas Border.
I prefer Earthquakes. Wind messes up my hair.
ok maybe to u those are good reasons but when the aging homes fall down whose gonna be in them? Don’t you think that there will be a bunch of people hurt? Look at what katrina did to New orleans- ppl are still living in trailers! And you said MOST are up to code - what about the rest of them? And if you really want to repair aging buildings why dont you write to the governor. or stat something up in your community? Besides the sooner school starts the sooner break will come.
I disagree with the guy above me. You should never focus on the black line because things are scheduled to change. Also the cone can change too. Stay focused on the news. See what happens in the coming days.
Let me tell you what happens when the start of school is delayed by a hurricane: you get to make up most of the days missed at the end of the school year, on some Saturdays, and have a day here and there shaved off from Spring Break, Christmas, etc. Only so many bad weather days missed are allowed, and you have to make up the rest.
