OMG, i remember this. My friend’s house got ruined. A tree fell on it. My dad stayed at our house and my mom, me, my moms friend, and her son came with us to evacuate. I didn’t like this storm. It was horible. My dogs are now terrified of lighting and thunder…and so am i.
Dog, I remember this. Gustav blew out the walls of my room. I lived in the living on the couch for 2 months. The power was off and every night me and my brother would roam the streets with flashlights. The cops found us and were about to arrest us, but he was racist because when we were pulled over a white guy was walking ahead of us. he let us go and he drove by the white guy without saying anything. But I do roaming the streets, and looking at messed up houses & areas. I like/hate hurricanes.
that pizza hut is on Grand Calliou Rd. It is next to Synergy Bank and wal-Mart. I live on Grand Calliou Rd. ; )
what street u live on in pointe coupee, because I live in iberville parish in maringouin and we got it extremely bad
I live in ventress, on the other side of new roads.
My friends were in this storm. Thier house was flooded 5 feet deep. So they went back to texas.
Worse in Houma? It did this much damage in northern Lousiana.
I was on a on a open side porch watching the tropical storm force winds when a 90 mph wind gust came through it scared the shit out of me
Man I cant believe people r out filming this. I Love Louisiana and will NEVER leave. It is home… This is so hard for me to watch and/or talk about. Katrina and Gustov left a mark on us in Louisiana. It makes me want to cry every time. It never gets easier to watch the place u love being destroyed. It changed us all. But we r reliziant people and we will make it, we will rebuild and love our state more than ever!! God Bless LOUISIANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@fostystar36 It hit florida the hardest but Louisiana got a good bit of it too. I live in central louisiana and we had, flooded roads, knocked down powerlines, and a tree even fell through my friends house.
