I cracked the ceiling on my wooden shelter and a cat popped out….how long will it take her to come back?
It was only to check on the conditions inside. I left out more wet food, catnip and promise not to do it again.
Actually, the weather has turn very cold and snowy, so I’m just more than happy and relieved to see it using the shelter !!! YAY for the ferals! HAPPY FERAL CAT DAY!! More TNR!
No, of course I’m not a troll. :). She was back on my porch for some dinner after being released from the spay, so I feel a little bad…but am still I’m counting on that appetite !
She’s around 6-7 months.

It depends on the age of the kitty. A feral cat’s territory increases by one square mile per year. So the older he is, the farther he is wandering off. It may take him as much as two weeks to come back.
Um… Is this a troll? If not… It wont be long before the cat comes back…maybe a week. Free food and shelter is a great opportunity that a ferrel cat won’t pass up.
As brutal as it might sound if you live near a canyon coyotes may have killed it. It happens a lot hear in San Diego. I saw a cat lying down in my driveway, I walked over to see what happened, it was still breathing but had a bad neck wound. I went to get a closer look, that’s when a growling coyote came out of the bushes. I backed up and the coyote grabbed the cat and ran. Coyotes need food too.
