Open the windows, put up good screens on all of them, put in fans and turn them on, you need to change the air and dry the house, It will take time and remove all of the damp carpets, drapes and upholstered furniture. If your AC is working turn it on and try to get the temperature down as low as possible, this will help dry the air. Good luck.
place bowls of Vinegar in the house
Place bowls of Activated charcoal throughout the house, placing on paper to catch spills.
for the mosquitoes - burn aromotherapy oils like Lemongrass to ward them off.
Bleach! Bleach! Bleach! Name brand called Clorox’s.
A dehumidifier might be a good start. Though I’d be concerned about water intrusion in your home at this point. If your walls or floorboards have been exposed to water you may have mildew or mold developing, which would be the source of the smell.
The dampness will work itself out. Just hang in there sweety. Things will get better. if you can get your hands on a Dehumidifier then that will help a lot. These are used in basements to remove dampness. It may turn out to be a good investment in the long run. Once the moisture is removed the AC will not be needed nearly as often.
