* 1. Yes

2.None listed-- Ice Storm

3. Very high.

* 4.Yes when the power finally came back on. Some people had no power for 2 weeks or more.

5. If you were fortunate enough to have a battery-powered radio or television, I think so. But I was fairly young then, only 11 years old.

* 6. Yes

* 7. No, never thought to. And I would probably contribute to a charity before that anyway, since I can't contribute to everything. (if by "contribute" you mean donate").

* 8. Yes

* 9. I think so, but again, I was young when it happened so I can't be sure.

10. I think those would be very helpful in that kind of situation, if only to get the scale of the situation into perspective.

What state are you located in?
I was located in Plattsburgh, NY when this happened in 1998. Top right corner of the state. There were other places that had it worse than us I believe, probably Buffalo, NY which is right off Lake Erie, and across Lake Champlain from us in VT. Lake-effect snow and such pounds them even when it isn't a huge storm.
