Your mind is believing right now that your reaction is rational. What you need to do is see a counsellor about working on this. You know right now as you typed this that something is up and that your thinking is a little off. Dont be embarrassed or ashamed about it. Talk to your doctor about refering you to someone, or ask your parents to help find you someone. Get the help doll... its time. I lived in the desert my whole life, then moved to Tennesse and I'm afraid to move if it rains because of Tornadoes. I'm afraid of everything though, so at least you only have storms to fear. I was in a tornado once, and learned to have that same deep fear that you are describing. It was hard to deal with. But, I was lucky, and was able to get some therapy. Now, while I am still not happy when it storms, I can deal with it in much the same way that those around me do. I highly encourage you to get some therapy or counselling. Yes, indeed, it is understandable that you would have gotten that kind of fear.

I was in a tornado once, and learned to have that same deep fear that you are describing. It was hard to deal with. But, I was lucky, and was able to get some therapy. Now, while I am still not happy when it storms, I can deal with it in much the same way that those around me do.
