Must you “believe” that the sun is a static entity in the solar system to buy into AGW?
All the global-warming goons like to show us how "smart" they are by blaming all the thunderstorm, tornadoes, and hurricanes on global warming. They like to forget that it is SUMMERTIME here in the northern hemishere, and this is when such activities as thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes are at their PEAK!
Is there global warming? Well, that depends on your definition of global warming. Do you consider a rise of half a degree celcius a manifestation of global warming or a minor oversight of the thermometers the scientists used?
Better yet, could the SUN be the cause for global warming? These goons like to think that everything is static from their limited perspective, and that the sun has no cyclic activity.
"Sun spots? Those don’t mean anything," is what they will tell you. However, there are data that illustrate otherwise.

You’re wasting your time. For one, they seem to operate under the assumption that solar heat output is the only variable in play with the Sun. They don’t take into account all the orbital variations of the Earth and the fact that we have not accounted for all variations as of yet. But this "problem" is so great that we can’t wait for people who truly know what they’re doing, so we assign computer modelers to kluge the data until it fits the homogeneous solution prescribed by the IPCC "consensus".
They believe that sunspots are the only way we can determine solar activity. Cutting edge if you’re the ancient Chinese…
They’re telling you to go to the gristmill and wikipedia for unbiased information…truth IS stranger than fiction!
No. Solar variation was probably the main forcing effect in most historical warmings. It’s only very recently that greenhouse gases became more important. And the Sun is still about 10% of the reason.

Sun spots do correlate with climate, until recently.
And I don’t blame any specific short term weather event on global warming. Weather is not climate. I do say that global warming will cause storms to generally be more severe. That’s a no-brainer since heat is the fuel of storms.
Finally here’s a discussion of the potential error s in the temperature record. Averaging out a lot of observations reduces error, basic science.

Nothing is static and or constant, that is why math is simple guesswork based on non constant variables or possibilities.
Time is relative to events and the ones keeping track of them, therefore if unattended does not exist.
If this makes any sense to you then call yourself and ask where am I at, if you get an answer you will have unraveled the meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything, just remember, we already know the answer, just don’t know the question.

The number of sunspots has remained roughly constant over the past 2 decades (if I recall correctly) while global warming has accelerated.
I’m glad you are trying to think of good reasons to balance the global warming debate. You have given three good questions, which are addressed by most articles on global warming. If you read the following explanations, you will have a better understanding of the scientific reasons why global warming is real. Weather is not climate. The thermometers are accurate. And the sun is varying, but not as much as the climate change.
