If you're within 25 miles of the coast (hard to not be, in FL) and you need $150,000 of homeowners insurance, between the homeowners, wind, and flood, it's probably going to run you closer to $7,000 a year. But your friend will have to get an actual quote, based on an actual house, before making an offer. A way lot. Seriously, $2500 is way, way low.
