Concentrate on your house and job and get started on a new life for yourself. The things he said to you (He told me he only got engaged to me to keep me until somebody better came along) I'm sure he said a lot of other things too, are all true. Couples pull together in times of adversity and support each other not push each other away. Please move on you are wasting your time, you deserve much much more than what he has to offer! Join a social group, get involved in your community, put energy into improving the parts of your life you want to improve and in the process you may find someone else you never know.
