Yes, it’s safe to vacation in Naples. Danielle is not heading towards Florida. It’ll be just a forgotten memory by the time you arrive in Naples. And nope, it wont be raining the entire time you’re here. Normally, it’s sunny/partly cloudy until the mid or late afternoon. Then it may rain for an hour or two. And that’s it. On some days, it won’t rain at all. On other days, it will rain longer than an hour or two. Bring a poncho and a LOT of sunscreen. Enjoy those beautiful sunsets.
I live in Miami, FL. I am currently here now, it hasn’t been raining too much… although it is raining now. Earlier today around 8 a.m to 12:30 p.m it was beautiful, hot, typical Floridian weather. It will be safe, I guarantee. I cannot guarantee that it will not rain. You might want to check your local news website for more information on the weather. I hope this helps! Goodluck with your vacation too!
Depends. I don’t think they’re expecting the storm to hit, but if it goes somewhat near by it’ll take all the rain with it, leaving nice weather. Either way, you should know a few days in advance if the storm is going to come close.
Just got back, day I arrived, poured. rest of my time, weather was perfect. Love Naples, have a great time. I stay at the Cove Inn.
Well is it coming to VA??
If you are concerned about hurricanes ruining you vacations, do what those of us living in hurricane zones do, educate yourself. Start with the NOAA site. Look at weather underground online. Look up Dr Jeff Masters there. You will learn a lot.
Danielle isn’t forecast to hit any land mass at all. It will likely recurve and go east of Bermuda. There is another storm, currently dubbed "Invest 96" on the heels of Danielle.
All that being said, there is absolutely NO earthly way to predict what your weather will be in Naples from the 3rd to 9th of September. The peak of hurricane season, statistically, is the last week in August and the first week in September. By late September, the chances decline dramatically. However, Even if Danielle or Invest 96 aren’t going to hit Naples, and they won’t, a new storm could form in the Caribbean on September 1st and be a Cat 3 or 4 hurricane by the time it got to Naples during your vacation. Not likely, but it could happen. If you are that concerned about it, take out trip insurance. Trip insurance pays for any lost deposits, canceled flights, etc in the event of a hurricane. Anyone who is coming to a hurricane zone in August or September who doesn’t get trip insurance is a bit foolish, If you buy it far enough in advance, it is dirt cheap.
Good luck. For your sake, (and ours in Key West) I hope there are no storms. Been through enough of them.
