In 2005 we were told by the "experts" that Hurricane Katrina was a product of "Global Warming", that we should expect a greater number and greater strength of hurricanes in the future. The climate models backed up the claims of the scientists, and these statements were widely reported as facts about man’s effects on the climate.

Now the long term study is out that did study the number and strength of tropical storms and the facts are that both the number and intensity have decreased over the years since Katrina.

How did these climate models miss something as easy as this, and how were the top "Global Warming Experts" fooled by the data?

If something as simple as the number and strength of the storms are wrong, than can we accept that there is more data that is wrong that we don’t know about yet?

Should the data from "Global Warming" institutes be reviewed to separate what is opinion, emotion, political from true objective science?

Hurricane strength has long been understood to correlate quite tightly with SST:

This article basically says that there is a new product on the market that basically is a bouncing room house. Its shaped like a small cube that can be used as a safe shelter for disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.

The only problem is that there are many people who are claustrophobic who would not be able to last long in this thing.

I’m an hurricane & weather freak i love the weather and i love to track hurricanes, i always be on youtube searching for footages of hurrricanes making landfall. I also want to experience what it is like to have a hurricane come into my state, back in 1989 an hurricane named hugo went through my state but i wasn’t alive to experience it.

I have lived in Nebraska all of my life & want to move to Florida b/c i hate it here! I am a single, 25 yr. old female who wants to live somewhere that’s always warm & that has more diversity. This weekend some of my friend’s and I are going to Kitty Hawk (we live in Raleigh) and are going to take advantage of the hurricane to get in some kite boarding and perhaps some surfing. Okay first before people tell us how stupid we are, we are all experienced swimmers, kite boarders, and surfers (we’ve been doing this since we were all 8). We know the dangers and how to avoid them. Anyways…

We are packing right now and just read that it is now a tropical storm. Is it going to strengthen by the time it makes landfall? The NOAA charts only showed its expected movement, and we are too busy getting ready to go searching around the web for info.
