Hey!Okay so I am 13 and I live in tornado valley basically and we Are ALWAYS getting hit by tornadoes/severe weather.Well guess what?-They are calling for severe weather late tonight and tomorrow.Everytime a storm comes;I feel like I have panic attacks and my parents say to stop it or else(haha)anyway; How can I be prepared for this and get over my fear and actually be able to NOT have a stomach ache Everytime a storm comes.Oh and my family has a Storm shelter and the whole it is in was dug by my dad so that makes me feel even worse! Please help

My father died in June. I received a call from his best friend with the news, followed by, your dad’s house was just set today, the final inspection is tomorrow, you will need to be there.
That didn’t suck enough.
My dad’s friend (best friend) owned a construction company and his son works for a rival modular home company from the one my dad contracted. They both loved my dad very much and came prepared to punch holes in the contruction. They pointed out that the shingles where put on wrong, the drywall was wavy, and that the roof flip brackets where nailed though using a gun, instead of using the manufacturer’s preset holes and recommended nails, and the baseboard heater’s where not centered and undersized for the space. I noticed that hurricane ties where not nailed on both sides and that the cabinets in the kitchen where crooked, and a dented front door.
The builder has since stated that the roof is to expensive to fix, the flips are fine, and addressed the other issues.
Since then, with some help from his friend, I have started work on completing the house. His friend is handling the estate for me, and has been helping. Lately his job has changed, and he can’t be there that often. The house is a two hour drive for me, and actually I have’nt been able to actually meet up with him to help with the work for a couple of months. It’s just been me trying to get this stuff done. Besides he does spend alot of time working with the lawyer and the estate bills and stuff. I am in no way complaining about what he has done, just pointing out that the burden of finishing has shifted more my way than I orginally expected.
Since working on the house I have discovered that the wiring is a mess, 1/3 of the baseboard heat trips the breaker, they used 12-2 instead of 12-3 on 220 circuits, all the three switches I tested today return crazy mid range voltages indicating to me that there is voltage leaking between MANY of the lines, the smoke alarms haven’t stop beeping and I sense that this connected with the problem with voltages I discovered today, their are numerous plumbing blunders I am discovering while running the pipes to the fixtures and have paid to fix these from my own pocket, the garage is not set to match the sill, so that doors don’t line up and require a redo of all the door ways, they used single hung windows, and I everything I read in the paperwork for the house references double hung windows, they put holes in the garage for windows but say they are not supposed to supply those, and the house was suspisiously, partly sided.
Me and the executor, although we are on the same page, I believe need more help. I can not fathom trusting this place with the wiring problems alone I discovered today. We had taken this to the state attorney general a month ago about the roof, and the builder told them that it was to expensive to fix, and they would warrant it. Problem with that is, with this kinda of product I don’t expect them to be in business long. We where planning on taking them to a magistrate about the roof, but now I’m not sure what to do in light of the added problems.
My question really is, should I pay for an extremely thorough inspection of this building and try and get it condemned? Can i get it condemned and what would be the repricussions of such an action? I feal with the wiring issues I discovered today that this place is truely a fire trap. Luckily I have had enough sense not to leave any power on when I am not there since I started this project.

I live in South Dakota and have a mini rex rabbit. It’s getting close to winter and dad says we’re not bringing him indoors anymore. He’s in a some-what sheltered hutch right now (3 sides sheet metal and open wire-face). So I need ideas to build a new hutch or keep him warm in his current one.

Well, I’ve been told that watches are not to be made a huge deal out of, although my neighbors are making the biggest deal out of it. I feel like we’re the only house not preparing. My dad said that it was just a watch, so he wasn’t going to take major actions.

my parents are up and down but im not sure anymore i dont wanna work to pack up my yard and set up my basement for a "sleepover" if we arent gonna get anything we already spent hundreds in supplies (food, a generater, and a chainsaw idk y a chainsaw) so will it hit if so what time and day, what catagory will suffolk get wind and rain and thuder? i kinda want it to ome but my dad made us pack cuz "hurricanes cause tornados then get in the basement" so now i got a bag of m fave stuff in the basement with the generator beds, tv and a fridge filled with 100s in food

So i just saw shutter island again for the second time and the first time i saw it, in theaters, i thought andrew/teddy was a crazy guy. but i just watched it again at home and my dad thinks he wasn’t crazy. he thinks that teddy lived in the apartment with his wife and that andrew laeddis was the one who killed his wife. okay that sounds wrong i know, but while he was talking to his "partner" chuck, when they were out in the hurricane, he told him that he heard of a man named George Noyce and that he has been doing research on shutter island for quite some time. don’t you think that maybe people from shutter island doing the lobotomy and things that the nazis were doing NOTICED that teddy was on to them?? and also he wasn’t getting hallucinations til they gave him drugs. they could’ve made up the whole escapee to get him there to find out what he knew? also rachel solando was real he found her in the cave i dont think that is was a hallucination. what do you all think??

I am going to live with my dad soon for about 6 weeks. He lives right on the coast of southern North Carolina (3 minute walk from the ocean). I am a bit worried about what would happen in the case of a hurricane. What can I do to be prepared? I know that my dad and stepmom have the basics like food/water and emergency supplies or whatever but what can I do? I am 17, almost 18 by the way and I will have my own car there. Also, what happens in the case of a hurricane evacuation? Advice from someone who has experienced it? Thanks for your help!

So I was supposed to go with my dad this weekend (and he’s done this before. he’s done things like not called me for a month, not taken me when he was supposed to oh and he hasnt paid child support since april and hasnt saved up for any of my college he says its because "dads who pay child support dont pay for college" even though at my moms theres 4 kids here so the child support he does pay us goes to food) Anyways i called and asked what amtrack i should take to see him and he says oh i dont think i can have you this weekend because theres goign to be a tropical storm (he lives in maine) and Im working an overnight on friday so if your step mom goes into labor (she isnt due for another week) then what will we do with you and sophie (my 2 year old sister) so then i explained that the storm wasnt goign to be bad and my step mom probably wasnt going into labor on Friday and even so ive been around for quite a few unexpected labors between all my half siblings who are at least 8 years younger than me so I could help with sophie. And he went on about how that wasnt gogin to be ok because E’s parents woudl come up anyways as if a 16 year old who teaches swim lessons and works in a babysitting room 20 hours a week couldnt take care of one two year old who was my own sister. So I started crying and hung up on him. And then he actually had the nerve to call me back and on my answering machine yell at me about how i should never hang up on him. I just dont know why he’s been like this since sophie was born. I’m on the back burner all the time I never get put first EVER. I know sophies only 2 and i love her to death but he can never focus on me just for a second. And apperantly sophie is like unable to go in the car because every time i ask him to pick me up only an hour and 20 min away in mass his excuse is oh sophie cant be in the car or only your step mom will be home….as if she isnt compatible to watch sophie. I just dont understand. I just fell liek when this new baby comes he’ll forget about me completley. And I dont even know why im putting this up here I guess its jsut because I dont have a blog or a diary and im tired of my friends having to hear me ***** about my dad. I just dont know.

WHEN IS HURRICANE SEASON GOIN TO END
I LIKE IT BUT ITS MY DAD WHO WANTS TO KNOW SO ANSWER ME PLEASE

So we have a stray cat, and the weather is getting cooler, and cooler, and cooler. We worry that he will get cold, so I have been researching shelters to make. One that is popular with me is one that include putting one plastic bin inside of another, with insulation in between. Here is a link… http://www.pacthumanesociety.org/core/WinterShelter.htm
My dad says that it would not be sufficient warmth for the cat, so I have come up with 3 options. One, more insulation. Two, heated outdoor pad. Three, better shelter. I know that the third option would be the best, but I can’t build much. Would the simple shelter be good enough with the insulation and heated pad? Keep in mind temps can be <10 F, but we also found the cat as an outdoor cat. Thanks!

I had a dream that my dad was driving a car. We were in the country side and then it got dark (mainly red) then there was a tornado. So my dad took photos of it. It started to come near us so we ran! We ran through an ally-way when we saw a old house, we ran in then I looked at a photo it was an old photo of an old man! we ran up the stairs (still a red colour) there was about 50 steps!

I would love to know what it means

Just to let you know that I have been voted by my friends to have the most weirdest dreams ever! I have even written my most weirdest dreams (23 dreams in the last year) inside a powerpoint presentation!

I ask because my dad was a Navy Meteorologist during WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired in 1969, and passed away in 1973 or I would ask him. I know weather satelites started to be used in the late 50’s, what about then?

Im working with my dad putting up shutters and i was wondering what would be a good amount payment for me to have enough to buy an xbox 360
