I live in Detroit but my friend lives in Philadelphia. I keep hearing about the disaster that Hurricane Irene is going to be for them and seeing people scramble for supplies and stuff. Is there anything I can do to help my friend? I don’t want anything to happen to them.

The backseat passenger was in a scenario that was a bit sketchy and life threatening, therefore his language was loosely restrained. We edited and made the video shorter so you can jump right into the action and is appropriate for all ages.

Follow us on twitter.com and www.facebook.com One victim was killed by a destructive twister as it swept through Russia’s Far East. 28 others were injured by the huge whirlwind, a natural phenomenon considered rare, not only for the region, but for the whole country. The tornado tore through the center of Blagoveshchensk, tearing roof-tops and balconies from over a hundred buildings, overturning trucks, uprooting trees and ripping out power lines. It raged only for several minutes but eyewitness reported that it caused incredible damage. Most roads have now been cleared, but hundreds of homes are still without electricity.

Hurricane Albert is looming over Illinois.
It will hit Chicago any second now.
As you can see by these weather patterns, the hurricane is getting closer and closer.
The weather is constantly changing, and that is a bad sign.
The hurricane will do some damage.
I would advise everyone near Chicago to take shelter.

I have a video from the distruction earlier.
I am the last one living from this disaster.
Don’t be afraid of the noises you hear.

***Questions at bottom of Additional Information***

I was watching the news about the HORRORS happening across the world from me and I keep hearing people say REALLY stupid things like “It’s no surprise that the US Supplies are being stolen… Just look at what Bush did after Hurricane Katrina.” And it made me think about the bias in the news coverage when it came to Katrina.

I’m MIDDLE GROUND in everything so I don’t have the wool over my eyes when it comes from EITHER side of the nut-job spectrum so when I watched the difference in reporting, I was SHOCKED at how both sides were manipulating the disaster to further their own aims.

The BIGGEST thing I noticed was how CNN and the Leftie nut-job side referred to EVERYONE as a “Victim” while Fox News and the Rightie nut-job side and the non-biased referred to them as “Survivors” and it REALLY hit home.
If you label someone as a “Victim” then they take on a pathetic, beaten down, “I can’t help myself” air while a “Survivor” is someone that has SURVIVED THE WORST & is ready to help their fellow survivors & rebuild!

A “Victim” is weak & needs others to support them…
A “Survivor” is STRONG & willing to accept help but is working just as hard as the helpers!

I remember watching the interviews on the various news stations & it was shocking how they picked through the people to find the specific “Type” of person to interview to specifically further their own political aims.

I remember an interview with an Asian family & when the reporter kept calling them “Victims” they actually stopped her & said “We are not victims. We survived & we will rebuild.” & 6 months later I saw a 60 min’s story on how they flipped off the world & didn’t retreat.
The whole community stayed & pooled their money & resources & strengths & they had almost finished rebuilding the houses & repairing the streets while a few miles away, the houses were still mold covered & the people THERE were doing nothing but b*tching about George Bush & how they had yet to get their FIMA Debit Cards.

Everyone I asked about these details went STRAIGHT DOWN PARTY LINES! The Republicans said “They are Survivors” & the Democrats said “They are just victims, unable to help themselves.” While us Middle-Grounds could stand back & see the distinctions & the shades of grey.

***QUESTIONS***
Does anyone else understand the manipulation tactics of their own political party?

Why is it that only about 1% of the population of the US is even ABLE to see the blatant propaganda & manipulation tactics?

What is your opinion on this?
p.s. I see this type of manipulation EACH AND EVERY TIME I turn on the news, but with H.K. it was so obvious that it is the easiest thing to use as an example.

"Normal" news days can be ignored or it is so small that you need to research what REALLY happened to realize the way you have been manipulated, but with H.K. it was so obvious that I could almost see the "Thought Bubbles" over the heads of the reporters saying "Believe US and not THEM!"

[Dir By B Sound Films] www.facebook.com Its 4779736 ppl here in Alabama…if everyone give dollars that would equal up to 594720 = Helping a lot of ppl.A path of destruction at least several hundreds yard wide cleared its way with high winds in Pratt City April 27, 2011

At least 290 people were killed across six states - more than two-thirds of them in Alabama - as America’s deadliest tornado outbreak in almost four decades pulverised entire neighbourhoods. Two of Alabama’s major cities were among the places devastated by the deadliest twister outbreak in nearly 40 years. As day broke on Thursday, people in hard-hit areas surveyed obliterated homes and debris-strewn streets. Some told of deadly winds whipping through within seconds of weather alerts broadcast during the storms on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Residents were told the tornadoes were coming up to 24 minutes ahead of time, but they were just too wide, too powerful and too locked onto populated areas to avoid a horrifying body count.

www.UltimateChase.com Exclusive video shot by Mike Theiss from ground zero of Hurricane Katrina’s historic 28 foot storm surge that ripped through Gulfport, Mississippi on August 29th, 2005. This video has a time stamp to give a complete and accurate timeline from the Holiday Inn beachfront hotel located directly on the beach in Gulfport. Also, included are shots from the Theiss-Device which is a camera housing designed by Mike to be placed in a place that would be too dangerous from any human to survive. This 13 minute video will give you a sense of just how bad Katrina was on the Gulf Coast without actually putting you in harms way !!! To see the entire version of this video about 2 hours in duration please purchase the DVD “Battle at the Beachfront”. http Jim Reed and Mike Theiss hope this documentation helps enforce a sense of storm awareness and a respect for the power of mother nature. When local officials ask you to evacuate just think of this video and ask yourself do you want to risk being put in a situation like this ?

Hurricane Footage; Strong Winds, Floods, Big Waves, Water and Wind Damage. A tropical cyclone is a storm system characterized by a large low-pressure center and numerous thunderstorms that produce strong winds and heavy rain. Tropical cyclones strengthen when water evaporated from the ocean is released as the saturated air rises, resulting in condensation of water vapor contained in the moist air. They are fueled by a different heat mechanism than other cyclonic windstorms such as nor’easters, European windstorms, and polar lows. The characteristic that separates tropical cyclones from other cyclonic systems is that any height in the atmosphere, the center of a tropical cyclone will be warmer than its surrounds; a phenomenon called “warm core” storm systems. The term “tropical” refers to both the geographic origin of these systems, which form almost exclusively in tropical regions of the globe, and their formation in maritime tropical air masses. The term “cyclone” refers to such storms’ cyclonic nature, with counterclockwise rotation in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise rotation in the Southern Hemisphere. The opposite direction of spin is a result of the Coriolis force. Depending on its location and strength, a tropical cyclone is referred to by names such as hurricane, typhoon, tropical storm, cyclonic storm, tropical depression, and simply cyclone. While tropical cyclones can produce extremely powerful winds and torrential rain, they are also able to produce high

A famous example of price gouging was hurricane Katrina, where some gas stations were charging more for gasoline than before the storm. That they would do this makes perfect sense. The demand for gasoline jumped dramatically while the gas station’s prospects for new supply were the same, or in many cases, lower. By charging more for gas, gas stations could ensure that they would have enough gasoline remaining until they were resupplied.

If they charged the pre-disaster price, they would quickly run out of gas, and no gas would be available at any price.

Why would responding to market conditions be in any way immoral? Isn’t the availability of gas (or any product) at some price better than having no gas at all?
aeriol7: that a fixed number supplied by you is sufficient to describe all market conditions is amusing
