On May 22, 2011 a highly destructive and deadly tornado tore through the town of Joplin, MO. Here is video of the tornado entering the southwest side of town, filmed by TornadoVideos.net Basehunters team Colt Forney, Isaac Pato, Kevin Rolfs, and Scott Peake. The team spent hours assisting with search and rescue and transporting victims to local hospitals in personal vehicles.

Initially a weak pencil-like tornado near the Bell-Williamson County line, the funnel rapidly intensified into a 3/4 mile wide multi-vortex storm at around 3:45 PM CDT. Its first damage occurred three minutes later at 3:48 PM CDT in the northwestern portion of Jarrell striking Double Creek Estates. It later moved into a wooded area before dissipating after damaging numerous trees. Grass and soil in fields near Jarrell were ripped out of the ground to a depth of 18 in (46 cm). When the tornado crossed county roads outside Jarrell, it tore a 500-foot (152 m) length of asphalt from the roads. About 40 structures were completely destroyed by the tornado and dozens of vehicles were lifted in the air and tossed, some thrown more than half a mile. Many researchers, after reviewing aerial damage photographs of Double Creek Estates, considered the Jarrell storm to be the most violent tornado, in terms of damage intensity, that they had ever seen. Most of the homes in the tornadoes path were well-constructed and bolted to their foundations, the tornado left only the slab foundations. Several entire families were killed in the tornado, including all five members of the Igo family and all four members of the Moehring family. There were 27 human fatalities in the Double Creek subdivision. In addition, about 300 cattle were killed by the storm. About 10 minutes prior to the main event, eye-witnesses spotted additional tornadoes north and west of Jarrell. Numerous vehicles sought

May 24th 2011, after coming really close to a giant wedge tornado in Lookeba Oklahoma, Holy Tornado then raced south to Chickasha were we once again got our visual of the mesocyclone just off to our southwest. Before this thing had condensed all the way to the ground, you could see the concentrated area where the funnel was about to emerge from the meso. It seemed like there was just a cloud of debris on the ground underneath this meso forever until it had finally fully condensed. Thereafter as the twister gets closer, it intensifies dramatically right outside Jeremy’s window. Shortly after this, you see it hit several homes in a small community and also hits a trailor house and lofts it out the back of the twister. We immediately start searching through rubble and debris. Sadly, one person perishes from this destructive twister and there were numerous injuries. May god be with the families that were effected by this and may the recovery process get underway fast and be quickly completed.

Aftermath of a life taking and destructive Tornado, that came through Alabama on Wednesday, tearing up sevral parts of the state and city. Felt bad seeing this, TV is nothing like actually seeing it, God bless all of them.

Video of four violent wedge tornadoes from different supercells in eastern Mississippi into Alabama, including the EF-5 that occurred near Philadelphia, Mississippi, as well as the birth of the Tuscaloosa tornado. Sadly, this tornado outbreak over “Dixie Alley” was responsible for substantial loss of life and property across MS, AL, GA, as violent tornadoes struck Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and other populated areas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this tragedy.

In 2008 ABC 33/40 looked back at this historic Jefferson County F5 tornado. www.srh.noaa.gov

Extremely rare audio recording of an F5 tornado. This is taken from a WOOD-TV 8 1964 special with Buck Matthews, called “Tornado”. The video of the tornado was taken by Ernie Czetli. The sound was recorded by Paul Muskiewicz as the tornado moved across the northwest suburbs of Grand Rapids. The last video sigment shown here is not the same tornado, it’s the April 2, 1957 Dallas tornado.

The Elie, Manitoba Tornado was an F5 tornado that struck the town of Elie, Manitoba on June 22, 2007. While several houses were leveled, no one was injured or killed by the tornado. Me and Tara were driving on the trans-canada right into the the thing, crazy kids, we drove past it about 100 metres away this is when the gap between the approach and the crossing occurs, the audio would not transfer from my Lg chocolate phone to my Macbook pro. There are a few times where we are like its coming towards us go go go, and another time like wow its getting huge. The ground was shaking so we peaced out pretty quick, Pretty sick experience!!! Tara was driving and I was filming from my phone. Just recently repaired my damaged phone to get the footage back and to share with all

From the collection of Sky Watch Productions: Tornadoes, Large Hail, Amazing Storm Structure, and EF-5 Damage from Greensburg Kansas the morning after. Footage taken in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Footage and pictures I took of Greensburg, Kansas as we drove through on July 5th, 2007 after the devastating F5 tornado that destroyed 95% of the town on May 4th, 2007. The April 3, 1956 Hudsonville/Standale Tornado that killed 17 people and injured 300. This is the only known color movie footage of the tornado and was taken from just north of Lake Michigan Drive northwest of Grand Rapids. This is the earliest known film footage of a tornado suction vortex, which can be seen forming on the west (left) side of the main tornado funnel. Damage footage of northwest Grand Rapids follows. 8mm home movie shot by Eugene Dohm, courtesy of Jim Bird.

F5 Tornado hits Andover Kansas April 26, 1991. This is my never before seen original video. (Note-Time on clock is 3 hours slow) This video shows 9 minutes in the life cycle of a deadly F5 tornado. The tape ends about one minute before the tornado destroys a large portion of Andover Kansas and completely wipes out the Golden Spur Mobile home park, killing 13 and causing many injuries. At about the 3:00 minute mark you can see it go into a multiple vortex stage followed by the formation of a large wedge tornado. My video of the aftermath is linked in the video responses found below.

Following the tornado that struck Pampa, Texas on June 8, 1995, a second and larger tornado develops just outside town and tracks northeast toward Hoover. Veteran storm chaser and cinematographer Martin Lisius captures this F5 monster as it narrowly misses the Jordan Unit Prison. Note the prison watch towers where guards look on in terror. This tornado was so powerful, it stripped asphalt from local highways. Footage is copyrighted and available for license from StormStock (www.stormstock.com).

Here are some of the lesser known F5’s that have have barreled across the nation. I am currently in the works making a second video. EDIT: ok, it looks like a made a mistake. The Parkersburg tornado was an EF5 instead of an F5. there was a change in scale i think in February, 2007. not sure on the year. Thank You Dragonridley! some of these videos came from National Geographic. no copyright infringement intended for any of the selections used. all property right for said selections belongs solely to National Geographic.

Footage of the April 26, 1991 Red Rock, OK tornado as it passes near Highway 77, east of I-35. At this point, it was a very intense F5 tornado with exceptionally fast motions. Our photographer is struck from the west by very strong RFD (rear flank downdraft) winds and hail as the tornado passes to the north. Format: Standard-def video. Copyrighted. Do not copy.

The F5 tornado is moving through Walker, Michigan, the northwest suburbs of Grand Rapids This is a clip from an 8mm home movie taken by Eugene Dohm. Film transfer courtesy of Peterson Design Studio. Watch the suction vortices forming on the left side of the tornado. This is the earliest known film footage of suction vortices. The clip plays through twice. The footage of the funnel is taken looking northwest. The dark footage is looking northeast. The tornado funnel cannot be seen, but two blue flashes can be seen as electrical lines and transformers are hit by the tornado.

Here is video I found long time ago at some website (I dont remember where it was) showing quite unknown f5 tornado that struck Oakfield on July 18th, 1996. Sry no sound.
