Storm chasers Chad Cowan, Darin Brunin and Jordan Wrecke were in perfect position to document this amazing, photogenic tornado that occurred near Grainola, OK on February 27, 2011. The tornado eventually crossed the OK/KS border, and remained over open country for its lifespan. Chad shot this video with the Canon 5D Mark II with a 17-40mm f/4L wide angle lens. Footage and pictures I took of Greensburg, Kansas as we drove through on July 5th, 2007 after the devastating F5 tornado that destroyed 95% of the town on May 4th, 2007. I also included 2 images I took of Greensburg when we drove through July 6th, 2004 which advertised the world’s largest hand dug well.

F5 Tornado hits Andover Kansas April 26, 1991. This is my never before seen original video. (Note-Time on clock is 3 hours slow) This video shows 9 minutes in the life cycle of a deadly F5 tornado. The tape ends about one minute before the tornado destroys a large portion of Andover Kansas and completely wipes out the Golden Spur Mobile home park, killing 13 and causing many injuries. At about the 3:00 minute mark you can see it go into a multiple vortex stage followed by the formation of a large wedge tornado. My video of the aftermath is linked in the video responses found below.

TornadoVideos.net deploying inside multiple tornadoes with the Dominator in northern Oklahoma on two separate supercells as part of a historic Oklahoma tornado outbreak. The first series of suction vortices is from the supercell just south of Wakita, OK that tracked near Medford, and the white elephant trunk was west of Pawkuska in Osage County. We also intercepted this second tornado with my window down since I developed so fast, and nearly blew us off the road. TornadoVideos.net storm chasers captured this video of a large 1/4-1/2 mile wide tornado in Stafford County, KS on May 5, 2007. They closed within a few hundred yards of the tornado as it passed in front of them…thankfully missing a house. This tornado was EXTREMELY violent. The contrast was adjusted to how the tornado appeared in reality.
