This is raw video footage in the front of my house of the Hurricane/Tropical Storm ‘Fay.’ I was on the porch, and the wind was tremendous… I don’t have the actual wind speed on this video recorded. On the evening of 14th September 2009 typhoon Koppu passed to the south of Hong Kong bringing extreme winds and pounding storm surge. Fellow storm chaser Andrew Glanville and I recorded a wind gust of 98mph and filmed winds well in excess of 100mph.

I decided this could be a significant storm, despite many people defying the odds and disregarding warnings. Tropical Storm Fay was passing by for a visit. This is not the greatest footage, but it is the “real” tropical storm footage…not the “drama” that the news gives you.
