On Monday afternoon, StormChasingVideo.com Weather Paparazzi Brandon Sullivan was near Tipton, OK where he caught this extraordinary tornado footage. In the start of the video it shows a wide shot of the storm and the tornado on a southward approach to the storm. Brandon zooms into a tight shot of the tornado while he and his chase partners follow the storm. The video then shows a medium to tight shot on a powerful tornado ripping across the ground. This footage shows a text book violent tornado. The footage continues as the tornado travels to the north with both with intense circulation as it traveled across the open country. At one point the large tornado becomes translucent allowing the inner circulation to become apparent. As the tornado moved to the north, it went into the Wichita Mountains in southwest Oklahoma. Brandon tried to keep up with the tornado and in the end of the footage it is from his a GoPro camera mounted on the hood of his truck with a wide angle point of view as he approached the large tornado. He paralleled the the tornado after he stopped to let it pass to the north. To license this footage for broadcast, contact www.StormChasingVideo.com
F5 Tornado hits Andover Kansas April 26, 1991. This is my never before seen original video. (Note-Time on clock is 3 hours slow) This video shows 9 minutes in the life cycle of a deadly F5 tornado. The tape ends about one minute before the tornado destroys a large portion of Andover Kansas and completely wipes out the Golden Spur Mobile home park, killing 13 and causing many injuries. At about the 3:00 minute mark you can see it go into a multiple vortex stage followed by the formation of a large wedge tornado. My video of the aftermath is linked in the video responses found below.

.HANNA EXITING THE REGION BUT CAUSING SIGNIFICANT LOW LEVEL
SHEARING TO PRODUCE POSSIBLE TORNADOES…
AT 619 PM EDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF ROTATING SHOWERS SPINNING AROUND THE CENTER OF TROPICAL
STORM HANNA. AT 5 PM…THE CENTER OF HANNA WAS LOCATED OVER
SOUTHWEST SUSSEX COUNTY DELAWARE. NORTH OF HANNA…THE SHOWERS WERE
ROTATING COUNTERCLOCKWISE AND THE INTERACTION WITH THE LAND IS
CAUSING SIGNIFICANT LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE AND SHEAR TO PRODUCE
ROTATING SHOWERS THAT COULD PRODUCE SHORT LIVED VORTEX CENTERS OR
FUNNEL CLOUDS.
THESE ARE SHORT LIVED EVENTS AND IN SOME CASES VERY DIFFICULT TO
LOCATE ON RADAR. IF YOU SEE ANY SUSPICIOUS CLOUDS TAKE SHELTER
IMMEDIATELY.
I read it, and don’t get what they want us to do. Prepare for a tornado?

I know that I've read that some federal law prohibits government agencies other than the National Hurricane Center from "naming" storms. I seem to recall hearing about this in the context of attempts by forecast offices to start systems of naming lake effect snow events or cyclones. This came up in conversation over the excitement about "Cyclone Emma", which is currently hitting central Europe. (Apparently these names are assigned by the Free University of Berlin's "Adopt-a-Vortex" program.) Any truth to this?
