I took my nephew to the park and we had a lovely time taking pictures. It was beautiful outside today. These pictures were taken at around 7:00 pm but just 12 hours earlier we were under a tornado warning and had some damage to our town, It was the complete opposite weather with clouds, rain, wind, and hail. Anyway I thought I would share that little bit of info. So what do you think of the portraits I would love any feedback. Thank You!

I took these with my brothers camera it was a canon and 7.2 mega pixels I can’t remember the exact module. My camera I normally use is a fujifilm finepix S2000HD so all of my other pics are taken with that one.
I know that there are laws regarding shelter for animals, So I wanna make sure I am doing the right thing. I never leave my dog outside for more than a half hour unless the weather is nice out and never if I am not home. Do I need to provide shelter for him in this case?
I have let him out to go to the bathroom…. I’m not leaving him out for hours on end!
Hi, if you live in Jamaica, can you please answer my question.
There is no data on weather.com for this, but I need to know this:
If I go to Montego Bay on October 1st and spend two weeks there, what are the chances for the hurricane?
and just in general - how is the weather at that time?
Instead of blaming the government, why don’t you get angry with all of the politicians that throw millions of dollars out the window while campaigning? Why don’t you get angry with a moron like Michael Vick who bankrolled illegal dogfighting? Why don’t you get angry with actors & actresses that do stupid stuff, then waste their money with fines, legal fees and court costs? There are so many wealthy people out there just throwing their money out the window…and you’re angry with the government??? They cannot control the weather. Yes, there were other measures that should have been taken and could have been taken, but weren’t. Instead of wasting your time blaming the government, why don’t you start getting angry with all of the wasteful wealthy people in this country??
To: the broken planet….
I have a life, thank you. My question had nothing to do with "all of the wealthy" banding together and paying for the repairs. My question was aimed more at those that are angry with the government for something that really isn’t their fault, and asking why aren’t they more focused on being angry with things that are AVOIDABLE.
Broken Planet: Sorry. I don’t agree with your point of view. However, that’s the great thing about opinions…we are all entitled to have them and express them. You are more than entitled to your opinion, and you expressed it. Whether or not I agree with it doesn’t make it wrong.
To more understand my question watch the film Zeitgeist Addendum on google search. Because I have been slightly confused my hole life, why don’t we live this other way, with abundance of food, water, shelter, and anything we find interest in, weather physical or none physical?
I’m looking to study in Guatemala next summer, and I’m wondering what type of weather to watch out for. I know that it’s tropical, but I’m particularly concerned about hurricane season. Before surfing the net for one simple answer, I thought I’d check here first to see if someone may know off the top of their head: Would I need to watch out for hurricanes during the months of May and June?
up in the woods. The weather is beautiful. The cabin is minimalistic but good shelter. You have electricity and water. You have a garden for fresh veggies and a storage full of meat and other sundries. You can only bring one small standard backpack. No computer. No phone. No communication devices other than CB for emergency use only.
How long do you think you could last? How would you spend your days? What’s in the backpack, Jack?
Tornado touches down in the small town of Elie, Manitoba Canada. Elie is located 25 miles west of Winnipeg. There was extensive property damage but miraculously there were no fatalities and only minor injuries. This was the strongest reported tornado in Canadian history. Environment Canada weather office rated it at an F5. There were 7 confirmed tornadoes in southern Manitoba that weekend. Recorded June 22, 2007
I am taking my family to Disney World and unfortunately can only go in September, October, or November… when is it hurricane season down there? Which of the three months would it be the "safest" to go, weather-wise? Thank you.

I live in Minnesota and I can’t imagine anybody without shelter surviving a 2 week stretch of 20 below weather, but they do and it baffles me. Homeless shelters can only take in so many people per night, so what do the unlucky ones do?
This is the video I made that documents the F4 tornado that hit Caruthersville Missouri on April 2, 2006. If you have any questions, you can contact me at ogtomlin13@hotmail.com .
The Killing Wind takes you back to 1953, before weather sirens, doppler radar, and tornado warnings. On that fateful night in June of 1953, an incomprehensible F5 tornado, the most powerful of its kind in the world, descended during the dinner hour on a main east/west road in the northern section of Flint, Michigan. Go back and hear the story of one Buick nurse as she struggles to comprehend the total destruction of homes, schools, and — lives. Today, the tornado ranks as the ninth …
Basic shelter, for walls and a roof against the weather. At least to spend a night with dignity. Simple food. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, tang. It would return dignity to people. Solar heated shower would not cost a lot to run. This set up would not deter people from working, I am sure.
I am 55 yrs and always been socially conscious. Homelessness as a lifestyle did not exist in America until Reagan. The first wave were the mentally ill, released from care and unable to fend for themselves.
Our next door neighbours have a poodle cross boxer… Interesting mix but oh well!
It is a gorgeous dog… and I have just heard it barking outside. I am in the North-West of England, and as anyone living in England will know the weather is horrible tonight and as far as I can tell, the dog has no kennel. Isn’t this not just cruel but illegal to leave a dog outside with no shelter??
Imagine you are standing at a field looking south. This wind is blowing strongly at your back (so towards the south). Give this, what direction would the pressure gradient be pointing? Would you guess the cyclone is moving towards you or away from you, given what we’ve see from the general movement of weather at our latitude?
My friend and I would like to vacation there but I am concerned about the weather around that time. Is that hurricane season and what will the temperature be like? Also what is the best hotel to stay at in the French Quarters that is 3 or 4 stars?
If so, what could be expected? * the distance was measured using Google Earth and a comparison of the radar data from weather.com
I mis-calculated the distance from the center of hurricane to outer ring. It isn’t 1300, more like 1700 miles.
Ya we’re gtting floods up here where i live now, so the rain is startng. and by sunday ike effective path should be near here so, i dont know what its gona be like if it gets worse
It even looks like everywhere on the planet if you chck on weather.com and click on the map and maplayers International clouds the entire earth is covered in swirling clouds. pretty crazy stuff.
I read about a tribe of people who lived on the east coast of Argentina (I think) The area had the same weather as Boston. They lived without clothes or shelter. I think they ate mostly fish. Then they had some contact with the Christians, who clothed them and taught them to build shelters. They then got sick and got all kinds of skin diseases. They isolated themselves but went back and forth between the new and old ways with varying success. At the height of this culture there were about 40,000 of these unique people. I can’t find the reference to them.
It seems to me that if our scientists had studied god’s weather powers rather than meaningless evolutionary processes, we could have prayed the cyclone away.
