Trip to Florida got cancelled due to Hurricane. Where should I go?

I am supposed to go to Clearwater Beach, Fl but with the hurricane coming in it got cancelled. I was thinking about going to California. I want to do some kayaking and snorkeling. Are there any places like this in Cali?
