VIDEO INSIDE A TORNADO!!! Aurora, NE Tornado, June 17, 2009
INSANE video from inside the powerful Aurora, Nebraska tornado on June 17, 2009. The tornado intensified right on top of the TornadoVideos.net SRV Dominator, and the window was blown out as an intense mini suction vortex passed over the vehicle. A 138.8 mph wind gust was measured by the roof anemometer as the window blow out. Check out Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel this Fall for the video of the glass slamming into our faces.

Probably the best video from TVN if only for the sheer craziness of it all. “Maybe I should shut the window..what ya think?” In the middle of a tornado, that would have to be the most stupidest thing anyone could say!

yea i’ve always wanted to know how its like to be face to face with a tornado. and they’re crazy! i would have crapped my pants if I was inside a tornado.
Wow! At 2:06 they are actually, it seems, in the “eye” of the tornado because the wind stops for a few seconds. Then you can see a wall of winds blowing the opposite direction engulf the car, and then thats when the window breaks.

Wow nice detail there. That proves that they right in it. What has storm chasing evolved to? They already have legit footage of inside a tornado, storm chasers are like right in the middle of the formation. Whats next drive into a 300 mph tornado if it ever happens again, or flying into a tornado I dont know. Its getting really crazy with them.

Yeah, these guys are getting more incredible footage each season. I don’t think being inside a 300mph tornado is on the horizon, but I would sure love to see what the “eye” of an F5 looks like.
