What factors and conditions are causing gas prices to fall?
Is it lower demand because of the seasons? Is it because of no hurricanes that affected the supply chain to cause a surplus of petroleum.

No its much simpler than that….There is an important midterm election coming up.
elections are coming up?
elections coming up soon?
Countries have built up their surplus again, this helps lower the price of oil as the demand is not as great.
It makes Bush and buddies look better, doesn’t it? Think about it, especially now that his ratings are in the toilet. We’ll never hear the truth, however.
It is a combination of factors, but primarily it is the drop in post summer season demand for oil in the U.S. There is increased supply and decreased demand, so prices have dropped.
i think its a lot of different variables. one could be a weak hurricane season. i think Russia’s entry into the oil market also has a lot to do with it. competition with OPEC might be bringing prices down. im sure there are other reasons, too.
More than likely it is because November elections are coming up. Wanna get the prices down so people will say well done republicans for helping get the gas prices lowered, and get more republicans elected. What do you wanna bet they go back up after the elections!
The unemotional non-partisan correct response is:
1 Demand for gas always falls after the summer driving season, thus lower gas prices
2 Supplies have been built up
3 Hurricane season has not affected any offshore drilling platforms and knocked them off line
4 The problems with the British Petroleum pipeline in Alaska was not as great as once feared and production will be back to full next month
