I was raised on St. Croix and one of our worst was hurricane Hugo that was a Sept 16th one. The best time to visit is Dec-April. It's not too hot and the rainy season hasn't begun. I live here and can tell you not to base your vacation on "if" but do so on "will" as in you "will" have a great time.
