They are the norm. It would be very very surprising if we didn't have at least 3 tornado warnings every year. The nice thing about tornados is that the sirens start up a lot of time in advance, and we have a nice basement. Getting the dogs down there is no problem, but getting all the bird cages down there takes a good 10-15 minutes.
