When is hurricane season for florida?
In mid Aug I am supposed to be going to a family reunion near Orlando area, I was afraid of going if that is hurricane season, can anyone help?

We will be in hurricane season in mid August. I would like to suggest that you monitor the Channel 13 news website http://www.cfnews13.com/ a week or so before you plan to come down. If there is a hurricane brewing at that time, you can make other travel arrangements
hurricane season is 6/1-11/30. i’ve been here all my life and 2004 was the only year that hurricanes caused so many problems since 1964. i wouldn’t sweat the hurricanes but you will be sweating with our weather! have fun!
Orlando rarely gets hit. If you were on the Gulf of Mexico side (i.e. Tampa, Pensacola, etc.) then I’d worry.
Go to Orlando and have fun!
